Stuffed Shells
Severs 4-6 People
Ingredients:
1 Package Jumbo Pasta Shells
1 Large Container Ricotta Cheese
4 oz Parmesan Cheese
2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
1 egg
Salt, Pepper, Italian Seasoning to Taste
24 oz marinara sauce 1 Jar
2 lbs Ground Beef
1/2 Chopped Onion
Instructions:
Get the water going for your pasta shells. Once boiling add the package of shells and cook until al dente. Drain shells and add 1 Tbs oil to the pot and mix so that the shells don’t stick together.
Add the ground beef and onions to a large pot on medium-high heat. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasonings to taste. Cook until all meat and onions are cooked through then add the marinara sauce, simmer on low for 15 minutes.
In a large bowl mix together the ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, egg, and salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Use a spoon to fill the shells or place the cheese mixture into a ziplock bag with a small hole and pipe the mixture.
Add a thin layer of the marinara mixture to a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish. Stuff each shell with about 2 tbsp of the cheese mixture and add to the dish. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the shells and top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Bake for 30 minutes at 375 until bubbly, then broil for 2-5 minutes or until the cheese browns.
