Brown Sugar Bacon Meatloaf


Serves 4-6 People

Ingredients:

The Meatloaf:
2 lbs Ground Beef
1 Cup Breadcrumbs
1 Packet Onion Soup Mix
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 Egg, beaten
1 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper
1 Teaspoon Paprika
1 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
1 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Ricotta Cheese
1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese
1 Package Bacon

The Sauce:1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
Optional Secret Ingredient: 4 Packets Chick-Fil-A Polynesian Sauce

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a small bowl mix together all meatloaf sauce ingredients and set aside.

Gently crumble ground beef in a large bowl, breaking up into small pieces. Add remaining meatloaf ingredients to the bowl and gently combine, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Line loaf pan with bacon strips horizontally. Add meatloaf to a loaf pan and press firmly into a loaf shape. Wrap the bacon edges around the meatloaf. Let meatloaf set in the fridge for 1 hour.

After an hour flip meatloaf out of loaf pan onto a baking sheet lined with a sheet rack. Liberally spread meatloaf sauce all over the meatloaf. Bake for 1 hour 10 minutes, until the internal temperature reads 165 F. Base meatloaf with sauce every 20 minutes.

Let rest for five minutes and serve with remaining sauce, potatoes and veg, Yum!
